Graduation caps, gowns, and tassels will be distributed to seniors at school on March 16 and the class will take their '26 class photo in the Quad. Hang the gown afterward, so it will be ready to go in June and email Ms. Langdon immediately if you have issues with your gown or notice defects.

Preordered graduation announcements and swag items from National Achiever/Herff Jones will be distributed to families as soon they are received by the school.

Traditionally, May1 is the national deadline for seniors to commit to the college they plan to attend. Seniors are invited to wear college gear for a group photo during the school day on Friday, May 1 - we will take a group photo.

Please keep the following in mind as you work with your seniors on making their college decision:

• Follow the instructions from colleges. They will make announcements via the admitted student portal or via email.
• Please adhere to BBHS deadlines for requested information including attending school and scholarship offers. We are building our graduation program and will need the best information that the student has as of the deadline.
• We understand that your senior's plans may change later; counselors are available to support them throughout this process.

Senior Prom is a highlight of the year! We hope all seniors will attend.

• Prom is free for all BBHS seniors. They may purchase tickets for non-BBHS guests.
• Tickets and Guest Forms will be available closer to the Prom (links will be shared in the Weekly Update, Senior Class events page, and on the Class of 2026 Google Classroom page)

Wednesday, May 20 from 8-9:25 a.m. at BBHS Norcliffe Student Commons

Bishop Blanchet High School is proud to host a new tradition honoring the accomplishments, resilience, and contributions of our graduating students of color.

Over the past 10 years, we have seen the growth, strength, and deepening engagement of our student body to now include seven affinity groups and councils, six all-school assemblies, and a growing sense of community engagement through the Multicultural Affairs Council. This celebration is a natural next step in that journey, an event intentionally centered on joy, reflection, and recognition.

Rooted in our faith and as part of our core belief that every person is precious and uniquely gifted, this celebration is all about you – your accomplishments, your resilience, and the ways you've contributed to our community. It's a time to give thanks for your hard work, to honor the journey that brought you here, and to celebrate in joy and gratitude with the people who have supported you along the way – family, friends, faculty, staff, and classmates. This gathering reflects our commitment to respect, care, and to recognize diversity as a true strength and reflection of God's creation.

Tuesday, May 26: Final Exams

• Seniors will be in school only for periods 3 and 4 exams, which are during their regularly scheduled 3rd and 4th periods (refer to the Bell Schedule)

Wednesday, May 27: Final Exams and Moving Up Assembly

• Seniors will be in school all day: for periods 5, 7, and 8 exams, and the Moving Up Assembly
• The assembly is for students only; no guests at this event

Thursday, May 28: Final Exams and Graduation Rehearsal

• Seniors will be in school until approximately 12:30 p.m., for periods 0, 1 and 2 exams, and for the Graduation Rehearsal (11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.)
• The rehearsal is mandatory for all seniors
  • Graduation tickets and parking pass will be distributed at the rehearsal and sent home with your senior

Monday, June 1 at 11 a.m. at Bishop Blanchet High School

Seniors need to be at BBHS at 10:30 a.m.

• Seating will be unassigned, on a first-come, first-served basis; tickets are not required.
  • We will provide accommodated seating for those with limited mobility; no advance notice is required.
• The BBHS parking lot will open at 10 a.m on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The BBHS Main Entrance is the most accessible entrance and shortest walk for anyone using a wheelchair or with limited mobility.
  • Please drop off guests needing assistance near the BBHS Main Entrance on the corner of N. 82nd St. and Wallingford Ave N. If possible, having a family member to assist them would be helpful. There will be students directing you where to go.
  • Please consider parking in the neighborhood to reserve space in the lot for those who may benefit from a shorter walk
• We anticipate holding the Mass in the Jim Pinsoneault Quad, weather permitting.
  • Plan for the weather with sunscreen and water.
• In the case of inclement weather we will move to the Ernie Rose Gym.

Monday, June 1 at 7 p.m. at McCaw Hall (321 Mercer St., Seattle, WA 98109)

Seniors need to be at McCaw Hall (Allen Room) at 6 p.m.

Doors open to all guests at 6 p.m.

• Guest seating is general admission.

Tickets

• Each graduating senior will receive 8 guest tickets and tickets are required for all guests. Graduating seniors do not need a ticket. Infants on laps do not need a ticket.
  • Tickets will be distributed to seniors at the Grad Rehearsal on Thursday, May 28.

Accommodated Seating

• For guests requiring accommodated seating, please see a McCaw Hall host upon arrival.
  • Most of the accommodated seating options are on the third floor of McCaw Hall -- only accessible from the elevators on the south side of the lobbies (the skybridge connecting to the parking garage is on the north side of the lobbies).
• The second floor of the McCaw Hall parking garage has a large number of ADA parking spots.

Parking

• All BBHS guests will have access to free parking in the Mercer Street Garage located at 650 3rd Ave. N. Use the entrances on 3rd Avenue N. between Mercer St. and Roy St.
• We strongly encourage you to carpool.
• Parking reservations are not needed but each vehicle will need to show a parking pass (hard copy or digital version) to enter the garage.
  • A parking pass and graduation tickets will be distributed to seniors at the Grad Rehearsal on Thursday, May 28.
• ADA parking is available in the Mercer Street Garage; please display your state-issued placard.

Prohibited Items

• In order to provide an inclusive and appropriate ceremony, the following items are prohibited at McCaw Hall:

  • Noisemakers

  • Signs or "fat heads"

  • Food

  • Beverages other than sealed water (no coffee, tea, soda or alcohol)

  • Balloons, beach balls, or any other type of inflatable items

  • Selfie sticks

  • Wrapped packages or objects

  • Flowers in glass vases

  • Large bags or purses

Livestream

• The Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony will be livestreamed via the BBHS YouTube channel, beginning at 6 p.m. (Graduation begins at 7 p.m.)

Last Blast is an all-night party organized by the Parent and Guardian Association (PGA) to provide our seniors a safe and fun post-graduation celebration!

• Participants will depart directly from McCaw Hall on Monday, June 1 (~9:30 p.m.) and head to a top secret location.
• Participants will return to BBHS on Tuesday, June 2 (~4:30 a.m.) to be picked up in the morning.
• The cost to participate is included in the Senior Activity Fee.
